Behind unremarkable façades, the Medina hides some of our most characterful addresses: original zellige tilework, carved wood ceilings and central patios open to the sky, most of them carefully restored rather than rebuilt. Access is on foot or by small taxi to the nearest gate, with a porter usually arranged for luggage.

The city within walking distance

Jemaa el-Fna, the Photography Museum, the madrasas and the souks are all reachable on foot from most of these houses. For a greener, more open setting, our Palmeraie villas are a short drive away.

Pools, terraces and service

Many of these homes have a pool, usually more intimate than in a Palmeraie villa but just as welcome after a day in the lanes, and a good number include a private hammam. Housekeeping and breakfast on the terrace can be arranged on request. See also our riads.
